In 2013, PT. Gasifikasi Prima Energi (GPE) received a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) grant from the Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI), co-funded with USAID-sponsored Indonesian Clean Energy Development (ICED), to develop a 24kW rural electrification project in the area of Munduk in Buleleng Province, Bali. 85 households, 2 temples and a primary school in Munduk village are currently receiving electricity produced.

GPE has selected the Trillion Gasifier and Prakash producer gas genset for this rural electrification energy production, using rice husk as the main source of biomass. This is the first project in Indonesia that uses 100% producer gas to generate electricity on a micro-scale. The success of this project has generated exciting opportunities for the development of biomass gasification as a practical renewable energy option in Indonesia.

Attached are a few pics, and a write-up (unfortunately, in Indonesian) from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. Check out the USAID/ICED website for more coverage: http://www.iced.or.id/us/fullstory.php?id=42

This is our first official project, we had 2 separate dual-fuel pilot projects in 2012-2013, and are wanting to keep our momentum moving forward!
Cheers and best Tom!
